September 7

Summer is drawing to an end here in Texas, and I’m taking a little break from all my traveling. But that doesn’t mean I’m slacking off… at least, no more than usual.

I’m hard at work on my unannounced novel project; it took me a while to get rolling but the pieces are all coming together now. This is a tricky one, so I want to make sure I get it right. (But I don’t want to miss my deadline, either.)

At the same time, I’m gearing up for the NFL season. I’m sticking with the Chargers, even though they traded Tomlinson. It always seemed like there was a rift between him and Rivers, so maybe it’s for the best. Not sure how the defense will hold up, but I still think they can score with anybody.

It’s also prime golf season here in Texas. September through November the weather is amazing; it’s actually cool enough to walk the course on a good day. (Although we’re getting hammered by rain from the tropical storms in the Gulf today.) So between the book, football and golf I’ve got plenty to keep me busy.

Which is why this update is kind of sparse. Oh, well. Better luck next time.
