Big news – we’re taking Children of Fire pre-orders now!\"\"<\/p>\n

We still haven’t locked down the cover (though we’re getting close), but Amazon<\/a> and Barnes & Noble<\/a> are already taking pre-orders. (It’s already listed for Kindle<\/a>, too.)<\/p>\n

For those of you who don’t know, Children of Fire is the first book in my original fantasy trilogy.\u00a0Right now, the trilogy is also called Children of Fire, which could get confusing since it’s also the name of the first book, but it worked for\u00a0The Hunger Games<\/a>, so I’m just going to leave it for now.<\/p>\n

Most\u00a0readers know me from my sci-fi books\u00a0(or science fantasy in the case of Star Wars). But my first love has always been classic fantasy, and I’m thrilled to be able to return to it in a world totally of my own creation. As we get closer to the\u00a0release, I’m going to start doing more things to promote Children of Fire. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m targeting both GenCon<\/a> in Indy and DragonCon<\/a> in Atlanta this year. I’ve also joined Goodreads<\/a>, though I’m still feeling my way around the site. I’ll probably do a couple giveaways or chats through it once I get more familiar with it, but for now you can go there to see my ratings for many of the books I’ve read – it should give you a feel for the kinds of things I like (and sometimes don’t like). I’m also trying to set up an\u00a0Ask Me Anything\u00a0on the Star Wars EU sub-Redditt\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0– I’ll be posting details on my Twitter<\/a> account once this is a go.<\/p>\n
