Next update POSTPONED to October 20 – but it’s going to be BIG!<\/em><\/p>\n

Good excuse for being late this update: September 19 was my anniversary! Sixteen years married to the love of my life – without her support I wouldn’t be what I am today. Probably\u00a0should have recognized the date when I first picked it for an update, but I had a lot on my mind. So instead of writing up my blog, yesterday evening was spent with my wife and some friends having dinner at the awesome Uchiko<\/a> restaurant here in Austin.<\/p>\n

So, what’s been going on since my last update? Well, The Scorched Earth <\/a>has now been released in both the US <\/a>and the\u00a0UK<\/a>. So to celebrate, I took a little trip to Las Vegas. Met some friends, watched some football, played some golf and did more than my fair share of gambling. By the end of the trip, I still had money left in my bankroll, so by my\u00a0method of accounting that means I was a WINNER!<\/p>\n

The Vegas trip also marked the beginning of my final push to finish off Chaos Unleashed, the final book in my Chaos Born <\/a>trilogy.\u00a0The book isn’t coming out until next year, but images for the US cover <\/a>have already been leaked. Go ahead and take a peek; I think it’s pretty cool. (In case you couldn’t figure it out, that’s Keegan and Scythe in the picture.)<\/p>\n

I expect to have the first draft of Chaos Unleashed finished by the middle of October. In fact, I better have it done, because the end of October I’m going to be a bit busy. I’ve been invited to be a guest at Lucca Con<\/a>, one of the biggest sf-f fan conventions in the world! Here’s my listing in the official program<\/a>…\u00a0though you might need to run the website through\u00a0Google Translate if you don’t speak Italian.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I’m going to be making\u00a0multiple appearances at Lucca, including several book\u00a0signings and even some workshops and roundtables.
