We’re just days away from the release of my Revan novel – available in hardcover<\/a>, audiobook<\/a>, Nook<\/a>, Kindle<\/a>, and iTunes<\/a>!<\/p>\n

The Drew Karpyshyn media blitz continues! As I mentioned a few days ago on\u00a0my Twitter<\/a> account, there’s an interview with me\u00a0on\u00a0Jedi Journals<\/a>. I pop in around 1:14 into the podcast. There’s going to be some more interviews in the next few weeks; I’ll be sure to keep you posted.<\/p>\n

I’ve gotten a few e-mails asking me\u00a0if people need\u00a0to\u00a0play the original Knights of the Old Republic to enjoy Revan. I was careful to write the novel so that you don’t need to know the KOTOR story to understand the game, but you will get a lot more out of it if you are at least somewhat familiar with the main events from the history of Revan and the Exile. Fortunately, you can read\u00a0a good synopsis\u00a0over at the Wookiepedia website for both KOTOR<\/a> and KOTOR2<\/a>.\u00a0(And for those people who played the game way back when they first came out, this might be a nice refresher on the details of the story.)<\/p>\n

For those of you who already\u00a0know Revan’s story and are just waiting for the book to come out,\u00a0you can\u00a0read the first 50 pages of the novel for free over at Suvudu’s 50 page Friday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In other news,\u00a0don’t forget about the Mass Effect Marathon<\/a>\u00a0over at G33kWatch. They’re shooting for $30,000 in donations this year, with all the donations going to \u00a0Child’s Play <\/a>\u00a0–\u00a0a charity that raises money to provide video games to kids in hospitals. Just by donating, you have a chance to win awesome prizes <\/a>in their raffles. This is a great cause, so help spread the word via Facebook and Twitter.<\/p>\n
