Next update November 2

I’m back from New York Comic Con!

Had a good time at the show – met hundreds of fans at the book signings and the Del Rey panel, got to see a Venture Brothers and Robot Chicken panel, saw Billy Elliot on Broadway, and ate my way across Manhattan. Unfortunately, I came back with a cold. I’ve already had to cancel one round of golf and skip out on a poker tournament, so you know I’m really suffering. But that won’t stop me from bringing my loyal fans another awesome (??) update!

Lots of news coming out of NYCC. First, we announced that I’m working on a fourth Old Republic novel, scheduled for a fall 2012 release. I can’t talk about any of the details yet, but I think fans are going to be really excited once it comes out.

But I don’t want to get ahead of myself, because we’re less than a month away from the release of my latest novel, Revan! There’s a short excerpt from the first chapter if you click ”more editorial reviews” on the Amazon listing, and to get people even more fired up, Random House has released a short audio excerpt from the audio book.

We’ve also got coverage from the NYCC panels I was on, thanks to the folks over at Darth Hater, one of the best fan sites out there for Old Republic news. (Plus they gave me a free shirt!) They’ve posted the full audio of the Del Rey Star Wars panel I was on. At the 2:10 mark I talk about Revan for a couple minutes, and at the 29:00 mark I talk a bit about the new Old Republic novel. Right after that we go into a Q&A with the audience and I answer a number of questions about Revan and the Old Republic, so you might want to check it out.

There were also two BioWare Old Republic panels, hosted by MMORPG.com. I stopped in briefly at the end of the first panel, and even though I wasn’t there for the second panel, there were a lot of interesting questions from fans about the game.

Okay, that’s about it. Off to bed to try and sleep out this cold.
