November 11

Next update November 18

We’re just days away from the release of my Revan novel – available in hardcover, audiobook, Nook, Kindle, and iTunes!

The Drew Karpyshyn media blitz continues! As I mentioned a few days ago on my Twitter account, there’s an interview with me on Jedi Journals. I pop in around 1:14 into the podcast. There’s going to be some more interviews in the next few weeks; I’ll be sure to keep you posted.

I’ve gotten a few e-mails asking me if people need to play the original Knights of the Old Republic to enjoy Revan. I was careful to write the novel so that you don’t need to know the KOTOR story to understand the game, but you will get a lot more out of it if you are at least somewhat familiar with the main events from the history of Revan and the Exile. Fortunately, you can read a good synopsis over at the Wookiepedia website for both KOTOR and KOTOR2. (And for those people who played the game way back when they first came out, this might be a nice refresher on the details of the story.)

For those of you who already know Revan’s story and are just waiting for the book to come out, you can read the first 50 pages of the novel for free over at Suvudu’s 50 page Friday.

In other news, don’t forget about the Mass Effect Marathon over at G33kWatch. They’re shooting for $30,000 in donations this year, with all the donations going to  Child’s Play  – a charity that raises money to provide video games to kids in hospitals. Just by donating, you have a chance to win awesome prizes in their raffles. This is a great cause, so help spread the word via Facebook and Twitter.

Okay, that’s it for now. And remember – Revan comes out on November 15, so buy my book!
